Kayak fishing here in Southwest Florida is a great way to spend a day. This is a favorite lunch stop for us when we launch at 19th street in Boca Grande. Very scenic and a great place to go ashore and stand around for a while after sitting in a kayak for a few hours. This day we caught redfish, snook and trout using jigs with shad tails. Gold, rainbow, and white DOA jigs worked well for everything. The fish were along the mangroves and later, as the tide came in, they were all over the shallow flats.
